I'VE WORKED WITH

“It is very difficult to find MEs capable of and experienced in the design and fabrication of the micro precision tooling that is required in fiber optic development and manufacturing. Tim has been a great asset and has a very easy, flexible, and friendly demeanor.”

“Tim is a skilled independent worker whose passion to increase his skills is immediately obvious. He understands that most of the lifetime cost of a design is in the supply chain and product maintenance, and he correctly maximizes use of ubiquitous off-the-shelf parts that product owners can self-service.”

From Conception to Market

Solarflux Parabolic Dish Concentrator

Parabolic Dish Concentrator Design

I created simplified, low-cost designs for both 30-kW (42-square-meter) and 10-kW (14-square-meter) parabolic dish concentrators. At volume production, this solar-thermal heat solution will have price parity with subsidized natural gas heating. This is an energy breakthrough.

Welded Assembly Finite Element Analysis

I co-authored a new company standard for FEA setup of large welded plate and casting assemblies. This method reduces solve time while maintaining a high correlation to real world observed breakages.
